"Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." - Matthew 6 vs 34 {KJV}

The Passion Translation of this verse is very precise:

"Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time. Tomorrow will take care of itself.”" - Matthew 6 vs 34 {TPT}

Clear words!

Many people are living in depression, fear and uncertainties, because they are living many days in their today! Whereas, the Lord told us to live one day at a time! Think about this. The Lord said, "Refuse to worry about tomorrow". This statement does not imply that we should not be hardworking, neither does it imply that we should not have plans for tomorrow. But rather, the Lord is saying, Don't carry the pressures of tomorrow into today! Yes you have long term goals! Long term plans! Beautiful. But execute those goals one day at a time! The issue the Lord literally addressed in the above verse is 'worry'. While you have plans for the next 5 years of your life, don't worry about a tomorrow you have not seen! Execute your plans one day at a time! By the way, why do you think you will be alive on earth in the next 5 years? You see... You don't know what tomorrow holds! Those who died today were like you having plans and dreams for their lives! You see...

The Lord wants us to live in the now! Don't stress yourself over any attainment in this world! Don't! I know you don't have this, I know you don't have that; but be content with that which you have and be grateful to God. Rejoice with those who attain heights of promotion of success! However, we rejoice in what we have, being grateful to God continually. No pressures! No stress! Hallelujah! Not pressured! Not bothered! One day at a time. Glory to God!

But Sir, take a look at this my friend, he is married with kids, the kids are growing, his family is forging ahead; while me I'm just here, no money no job no wife! My brother, you are living with the pressures of tomorrow in your today! Now, that same friend, 10 years after his wedding got involved in an accident and died on the spot! Question to you: What is his profit of all he acquired on earth? Where he is going now, of what use will all his earthly acquisitions be to him? You see... The Lord is clear, "Refuse to worry about tomorrow". Meaning, don't bring in tomorrow's pressures into your today. Face your life today, face your work which you are doing today! When you get into tomorrow by the grace of God, you will face the pressures of tomorrow. Don't live with tomorrow's pressures today! Plan for your tomorrow, but only entertain today's responsibilities, and take no thought about things that are not in today! This way, you will live light! This way, you cannot be depressed over things which you don't have yet! Because, you have learnt how to not worry about tomorrow, but to give your attention to only today's troubles.
