In the previous verse, we are informed that we are not our own:

'What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?' - 1 Corinthians 6 vs 19 {KJV}

As Believers, living with this consciousness that we are God's properties will literally cause our lives to align with His will. We are told that our body is not our own! our bodies belong to God—Christ purchased our bodies unto God. That means, we are only possessors of our bodies, but we don't own it! Therefore, we must use our bodies faithfully for only those things which the owner of it wills for us to do with it.

Consider this example: If someone gives you his phone to keep for him while he goes into the field to play football, do you take that phone and sell it in order to raise money to pay your bill? No! You see... Even though you have your personal needs, they've got nothing to do with another person's property in your possession! Even though you feel the urge to have sex as an unmarried brother or sister, your body should not be involved in it, because your body doesn't belong to you, your body belongs to God! That means, you will not use another Persons property to satisfy your sexual urges! - Think think think!!! Just the same way that guys phone in your possession has nothing to do with your personal bills, therefore you will not sell off another person's property just to meet your needs—likewise, you will not use God's property (your body) to satisfy a sinful pleasure! - Ponder on this.

Brothers and Sisters, we have been bought with a price! We are informed that our body and spirit belongs to God:

'For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.' - 1 Corinthians 6 vs 20 {KJV}

Our body and our spirit belong to God! Hallelujah! Therefore we walk in this consciousness, and we are deliberate about what we do with our hands—to please the Father; we are deliberate about what comes out of our mouths—to please the Father; we are deliberate about what we do with our bodies—to please the Father! We are not our own! Glory to God.

Beloved, if you live your life with this consciousness, sin will have no grip over you! Hallelujah! We've come to understand that our bodies does not belong to us, they belong to God! Therefore, we cannot practice sin in our bodies, because it's not ours! Just because someone's property is in your possession doesn't make it yours! That means, you cannot use someone's property the way you choose, rather, you use someone's property the way the person instructs. Now God has said:

'Never offer any part of your body to sin’s power. No part of your body should ever be used to do any ungodly thing. Instead, offer yourselves to God as people who have come back from death and are now alive. Offer all the parts of your body to God. Use them to do everything that God approves of.' - Romans 6 vs 13 {GW}

We use our bodies for the things the Owner of it has approved! Hallelujah! We use our bodies for righteousness—this is what the Owner of it wants it to be used for! We don't abuse that which does not belong to us! May God grant you understanding. Amen.
